Pukekohe Swapmeet 2010
Just a short drive from South Auckland in a tiny little town known locally as Pukekohe, once a year is held something special, so special it fills up a couple of them cow grazing fields with a group of loud rowdy misfits, in loud rowdy rides.
Pukekohe swap meet is legendary everyone has been to one and if you havent rent out that rock you been hiding under and go 2011.
Setting up tent on friday night got the ‘stallman’ eyeing eachother up for a bargain. El Boneshaker found a nice quiet corner opposite the hotdog stand, bar and music stage. Once there it was going to take a hurricane to move us. Friday night was greasy food, a box of ranfurly and plenty of loud talking. Followed by a 1am bed time in the back of the EBMF falcon panelvan.
Saturday morning was the swap meet 3B and I had a blast being our first time with a trade stall, we parked my harley out front and went to work.
Around 10.30 the boys from rattlers.co.nz showed up on there ‘sickles’ and created a stir with the crowd. The bikes looked fantastic and with 6 bobbers next to each other we got a few more punters to the site. Muchly appreciated.
The rest of the day pretty much universal, met some super ladies and gents and then 5.30 packed up the bags and went home for some steak on the barbie.
Those of you that missed out scroll down and see what aotearoa has to offer.
Be a misfit!
